You see, after six years, Nicolas, Domingo, and Father Vicente are all my very best friends. I eat with
them at the kitchen tables in their own homes, and we share water from the Home Water Purifier. I bring
them maple sugar candy, and they give me coconut butter (like sweet peanut butter). I respect them
and they respect me. When we greet each other, we hug and say "brother Paul", "brother Nicolas",
"brother Domingo", and "Father Vicente, my brother". It turns out that Father Vicente became very sick
with a high blood pressure incident after 12 hours with nothing to eat in an extremely hot customs house, while trying to liberate the plastic buckets. Nicolas and Domingo took several days off from their work, sacrificing their wages to support our safe potable water efforts. Now we ALL feel that the Prescribing
Prevention project is important to the community, and is worth all the effort to make it work. Now it
WILL work ! Now the project is not just airborne--it is FLYING HIGH. :)

Invitation:
The 2012 medical mission team included a physician, a pharmacist, physicians' assistants, nurses, physical
therapists, translators and generalist helpers. The prayer team included deacons and lay people. The Prescribing Prevention team consisted of one lonely water treatment professional, supported by the
entire medical team. If you have any remotely related skills or simply feel the call to help improve the lives of our less fortunate brothers and sisters in the Dominican Republic, you will be welcome to join the 2013
mission trip. Please contact Robin Baxter, R.N., 24 Baxter Way, Lake Placid, NY 12946. Phone 518-523-9472

Note:
Every home water purification unit costs only $40 (including shipping)delivered to a family in need in
the Dominican Republic. For distribution in 2012, 300 such units were purchased and delivered. All funds
donated to the Safe Potable Water Fund are used to buy and ship these units or to provide a $200 stipend
for each of the three Dominican project assistants. All fundraising is completely supported by volunteer
efforts. Thus, all donated funds directly benefit people in need.
